Morning’s Glory Bathes Mt Hood
February 21, the city awakened to this view with the sun behind Mt. Hood. The image was used as the basis of a painting made exclusively with fine glass powder. It is a slow, careful process but often brings stunning results. After sifting powder onto the glass, it is fired at a low temperature. The firing temperature controls the texture and the color. It must be exact to get an effect like nature provides.
